#NowTrending: Loewe Gets Dress-ed Up
Jonathan Anderson continues the trend dominating the Paris runways of redefining the norms of menswear with his Loewe AW20 collection.

Loewe’s Jonathan Anderson broke gender boundaries today on the runway. Heavily influenced by traditional forms of feminine garments, the creative director of the Spanish label channeled many forms of womenswear for his latest collection. The star of the show was coincidentally the opening look of the collection: a metallic dress worn over a men’s blazer. The shimmery dress was reminiscent of the ultra-glam 80’s era when the glitz was over the top and the ensembles: show-stopping. And even in the year 2020 and a new decade begins, the magic of this era still lives in on in the form of new-age menswear. Featured throughout the collection was a bevy of ladylike pieces such as feathered cardigans and button-ups and the highlighted use of round necklines. Anderson delivered more glam touches throughout the lineup, with bejeweled sweaters and cape-like peacoats giving conventional menswear a much-needed flair of modernity.
