Off-White c/o Church’s is Finally Here
Virgil Abloh’s custom designs were spotted in Paris in February. Now, they are officially for sale.

The Off-White c/o Church’s capsule collection is officially here.
The long-awaited collaboration was first teased on back in February, for Off-White’s “Spaceship Earth: an Imaginary Experience” show in Paris.
The Off-White AW 22 collection marked Virgil Abloh’s last creative endeavor for his brand before his passing in November 2021. However, the new Off-White c/o Church’s collection was personally designed by Abloh, as he reinterpreted their classic Burwood style.

In line with Off-White’s “Question Everything” ethos this season, the Burwood x Off-White shoe is progressive and inherently genderless. Abloh took Church’s classic brogue Oxford shoe design from 1953 and gave it new life within the context of contemporary street style.
While the original Burwood shoe is made with a brown suede upper, the Off-White version uses brushed calfskin as an overlay. It retains the traditional Burwood dovetail patterning, ensuring that the modernized shoe maintains some elements of its original design.
Of course, the shoe gets the iconic Off-White treatment, with “Special Events” screen-printed across the calfskin and “Shoe Laces” aptly written on the laces. The brand’s traditional plastic hangtag is reformed in a classic Church’s way, coming in a deep green leather.

Northamptonshire-based Church’s represents the pinnacle of luxury for leather footwear, and their shoes are renowned for their timeless English craftsmanship. The company’s roots can be traced back to 1617, when master shoemaker Anthony Church began crafting leather Oxford’s in Northampton, England.
Established by Abloh in 2013, Off-White has a much shorter history, though in just 11 years the brand has revolutionized modern streetwear and change the entire culture of fashion.
The Burwood x Off-White shoe is just the first from Abloh’s “remastering a classic” collection with Church’s, fusing together the two legendary brands. The other style will be released at a later date.
Burwood x Off-White is available now at Off-White stores, Church’s stores, and on church-footwear.com.
