For Day 1 of Paris Fashion Week Men’s, Virgil Abloh’s Off-White collection tap-danced its way into our hearts, leaving an impressionable mark. Starting off the collection was a tap-dancer, Cartier Williams, who danced his way down the runway donning an “I SUPPORT YOUNG BLACK BUSINESSES” t-shirt, going along with the unanimous theme of statement dressing. The collection highlighted the use of tailored outerwear for a streamlined ensemble. Borrowing elements from the women’s S/S ’20 collection such as the cut-out holes, the men’s collection featured the peek-a-boo detail on tartan patterned coats and oversized cardigans giving these pieces a more risqué feel. Categorized by color stories with notes of warm tones and hues of blues, the lineup of looks told a story of a more grownup tale of the Off-White man. Combining textured trousers with an array of statement clutches, the upcoming autumnal season is sure to be a chic one.
