The wild spirit of The Golden State is being celebrated by luxury-eyewear brand, Oliver Peoples, through a brand new book published by Assouline entitled “California As We See It”. Central to the DNA of Oliver Peoples as a brand is their connection to Los Angeles. It’s where they design their classic frames and acts as a sanctuary of inspiration in the process of creating. It is also where they opened their first boutique. The rich history of the brand goes back over 30 years, and the pages stand as an example of the process of developing a beautiful, timeless product.

Additionally, no Oliver Peoples announcement would be complete without an accompanying pair of specs designed specifically for the occasion. The Assouline Frame comes in three different clip-on sun lens options in mustard, blue, and green, as well as custom packaging. The frame is a reconstruction and reimagining one of the earliest frames from their archive that features a new detail, according to Oliver Peoples, that is inspired by the “geometric mid-century architecture of Palm Springs, a key theme in the book.”

Oliver Peoples also pledged to donate 50 percent of the sales of the book to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund, an appropriate way to aid in the recent devastation and a wonderful way to honor their favorite state. The book and Assouline frames are now available for purchase in Oliver Peoples boutiques.
