Well, Oliver Peoples understands that dream and decided to give the “peoples” what they want, AKA Cary Grant Inspired Sunglasses. Oliver Peoples launched a new sunglass line inspired by Cary Grant’s personal style, Cary Grant 2 and Cary Grant 2 Sun. They also released new colors to the original collection.

Giampiero Tagliaferri, Creative Director of Oliver Peoples, has always been inspired by Cary Grant’s personal style and wanted to make a collection that reflected that. “Oliver Peoples wanted to create a frame that evolved the initial design but continued to pay homage to the timeless style of one of the most iconic Hollywood actors of all time,” says Tagliaferri.

“A combination frame became that evolution. This new design conveys the look of Hollywood in the ‘50s and ‘60s—the quintessential silhouette for film and TV at that time—and yet it feels relaxed in the way Cary always appeared. It offers relaxed elegance in the same way Grant—and California—does elegance: effortlessly.”

Although Grant never wore the exact frames in the collection, his wife Barbara Grant Jaynes says that “the glasses are as Cary would have worn them.”
