Olivia Rodrigo Reveals Details Of Her Debut Album

The breakout star’s first album SOUR is out May 21.

Make sure to stock up on tissue boxes next month — rising star Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album SOUR is coming out May 21.

Following her gut-wrenching hit drivers license and dreamy new song deja vu, Rodrigo’s debut album features 9 new songs, accompanied by her previously released tracks.

The California-born singer and actress cut her teeth in Disney’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Bizaardvark before her astronomical rise to fame. Deja Vu‘s chart success crowns her as the first artist to debut her first two singles in Billboard‘s top ten.

“I actually love SOUR because, well, first of all, there are many different meanings to SOUR and why I love the word sour and feel like it’s representative of the album,” Rodrigo said about the album on an Instagram Live. “But, also, an added perk was that it has OR in it. So in all of the graphics of SOUR, we always try to make the O and the R bolder than the rest of the word. I chose the word before I actually looked at it and was like, ‘Oh my gosh, my initials are in it.’”
