OMEGA celebrates its 75th anniversary of Seamaster and the launch of its latest Seamaster in Summer Blue collection this week in Mykonos with a star-studded guest list. George Clooney was among the ranks along with Naomie Harris, Victor Vescovo, Blair Tuke,  Paul Wesley, and many others. The celebratory soiree was held on the gorgeous Aegean sea, the perfect background to honor the timeless legacy of OMEGA.

The Seamaster collection is the epitome of craftsmanship, thoughtfully designed to reflect the precise mechanics of watch design. The event honored this initiative with the theme “Precision at Every Level”. The party held deep talks about topics ranging from exploration and conservation to discussions of their latest release of the Summer Blue collection. In attendance were Blair Tuke and Peter Burling from Emirates Team New Zealand. The Olympic medalists and America’s Cup Defender are also philanthropists as the founders of Live Ocean, a New Zealand-based charity organization. Through their efforts, they advocate for marine science, innovation, and conservation projects.

The Summer Blue collection harnesses the brand’s attention to detail and spirit toward innovative design and unique architecture. The line features 7 classic styles displayed in the form of 11 different watches in all.  Color takes on a dual function in this line, both decorative and ingeniously designed to express the water resistance of each watch. The designs range from the Seamaster Aqua Terra which has a resistance of 150M to the Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep at 6000M. From the everyday boat trip or walk along the gorgeous pebble beaches of Mykonos, to the deep depths of the ocean, this watch collection is equipped to follow you anywhere.

Victor Vescovo, an ambitious explorer, tested the limits of the OMEGA watch in his descent to the Mariana Trench. Reaching a depth of 10,928M in a submersible, Vescovo was still able to check his OMEGA watch to see what time he needed to be back for dinner. Needless to say, OMEGA’s promises are not made in vain, their commitment to innovative designs makes amazing feats like using a watch at the bottom of the ocean a reality. 

George Clooney, legendary actor, producer, screenwriter, and director, a long-time friend of the brand, came to celebrate the new launch. He took part in discussions and came to join in the candlelit dinner at the shores of the Mykonos beaches. The event was a revelry of ideas, celebrating the journey of OMEGA designs while appreciating the ocean for all its glory. The party was the perfect event to commemorate Seamaster collections, both new and past additions.
