For their second year in partnership with ALINGHI, Swiss luxury watchmaker OMEGA has unveiled the special edition Speedmaster “Dark Side of the Moon” ALINGHI as a tribute to the competitive sailing team.

“The new watch is about two great Swiss brands combining their passion for innovation and sailing,” said Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA. “To match ALINGHI’s state-of-the-art creation, we’ve harnessed some truly impressive technology, along with the best materials and a very original design concept.” 

The latest timepiece was inspired by ALINGHI’s TF35 catamaran, featuring a black dial textured to resemble the carbon fiber used for the boat’s hull. To enhance the movement, OMEGA designed a honeycomb effect along the mainplate and barrel bridge using a technique called “laser ablation” to achieve this look. The color scheme is emblematic of ALINGHI’s logo, incorporating red for passion and black for technology throughout the watch. The sailing team’s logo is also adorned on the 6 o’clock position, with a sandblasted and anodized aluminum disc for a more updated subdial design.
