Skate culture collides with street fashion in the first-ever collaboration between OTW by Vans and the LA-based collective FTP. This drop represents something greater than simply just reimagined sneakers— if you focus the lens a bit deeper, it will transpire before you a manifesto of grit, identity, and full-circle dreams.

Launching May 9th, the collection reimagines two of Vans’ most iconic silhouettes—the Old Skool 36 and the Authentic 44—through FTP’s bold, no-compromise lens. Each pair pulses with layered textures, an underground attitude, and thought-out details that reflect both brands’ deep roots in youth culture and rebellion.

The Authentic 44 gets a gritty yet elevated makeover, pairing suede and canvas with Vans’s timeless checkerboard print. The FTP logo repeats like a mantra across the sidewall, tucked under a translucent rubber sole, even on the alternate laces. Look inside, and you’ll find a leather footbed stamped with dual branding, an acknowledgment to those who made it happen.

The Old Skool 36 ups the ante with premium leather, reflective side stripes, and FTP flourishes that simmer in the right light. From the translucent foxing tape to the detailed tongue and heel, this is a shoe that speaks volumes without raising its voice. Designed in all-black, it’s moody, sleek, and unapologetically street.

For FTP founder Zac Clark, this collaboration is personal. Raised in Crenshaw and lacing up Vans as a kid, this moment is a tribute to his journey – and to the late Keith Hufnagel, his mentor and early supporter.
