Gap and Palace have come together for a collaboration that any skater could only dream of. The classic American brand heads across the pond to the London-based skate label in order to create a collection that brings 90s skate style to 2024. The collection brings this classic fashion to all ages as it contains pieces for both adults and kids alike in a first for Palace.

“Collaborating with Gap made sense because a lot of us grew up skating in Gap gear in the 1990s,” said Palace founder Lev Tanju. “Gap is so cool to us: clean, preppy, and all about the good American things like everyone being welcome. Gap put out so much iconic content in the era before it was called content and it’s been a real privilege for us to play in that space with them. And doing our first ever kids’ collection with Gap — who make the best kids’ clothes — is really special for us.”

The collection, containing 55 pieces, takes the iconic Gap logo and reimagines it as “PAL” for a design that is distinctly true to the identity of both brands at first glance. The classic Gap Logo Hoodies featuring this new design are joined by a Varsity Jacket, Oxford shirts, Pullover Windbreaker, Logo Rugby Shirt, Track Suits, Board Shorts, Cargo Pants and T-shirts.

Campaign images and video, shot by Jim Goldberg and directed by Will Robson-Scott, feature legends Karl  Watson, Elissa Steamer, and Tommy Guerrero, Palace skaters Kanin Garner, Jamal Smith, Heitor Da Silva, and Jahmir Brown, and nine-year-old professional skater, Anna Shea. The iconic “Sporty Spice” Spice Girl, Melanie C adds some quintessential ‘90s nostalgia to finish off this throwback collaboration.

The PALACE GAP collection will be released on March 22 in the US on gap.com, palaceskateboards.com and select Gap stores and all Palace stores at 11 a.m. ET.
