TikTok sensation turned pop star, Addison Rae, just released a new fem-powerment anthem under Columbia Records.

Her newest single, “Aquamarine,” is a nearly three-minute positive affirmation track that will cause anyone reciting the self-affirming lyrics to unleash their inner icon. Rae’s serene voice sounds like a siren’s call, but instead of luring sailors to their doom, she’s enchanting her self-confidence, drawing her closer to her own strength and allure. Complete with a visual experience, the grungy but chic super-8 style video, directed by Sean Price Williams (known for Rae’s Diet Pepsi music video, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” ), provides the perfect backdrop for the vibrant, electronic dance hall-esque song.

Dressed in a gold mask and white and gold Greece-ready attire (styled by Interview‘s Dara Allen), Addison stands out in a room full of black-clothed partygoers with her long, golden-brown tussled locks. The high ceilings and chandelier indicate an upscale soirée. But by the time Rae says, “I’m not hiding anymore,” she’s already broken an unspoken social rule by dancing on a table.

“The world is my oyster, baby, come touch the pearl,” Rae sings as she struts down the streets of Paris in a pair of nude Louboutins. She splashes around in a bathtub cloaked in a glistening lilac and silver mermaid-like dress by The Attico and continues singing, “The world is my oyster, and I’m the only girl.”

The song and video reference ocean iconography throughout, even nodding to the fictional 56-carat blue diamond from the Titanic by saying, “Heart of the Ocean around my neck / I don’t have to say it, you know what’s next,” in a similar fashion that former pop princess turned queen, Britney Spears, did in her “Oops… I Did It Again” video.

And after breaking into a choreographed club-girl-approved routine that feels more put together than the dance routines you’ve attempted with your friends after a long night out (thanks to choreography by Danielle Polanco), she ends the song by declaring a final, “I’m free.” Her previous single, “Diet Pepsi,” amassed 150M streams globally. It was also her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
