Philipp Plein Launches Debut Fragrance
Discover the new alluring unisex fragrance.
Twenty years after launching his edgy eponymous label, German fashion designer Philipp Plein is finally making the foray into fragrances with THE $KULL “Art Edition”. This limited edition unisex scent encompasses the identity of Plein’s house utilizing their iconic skull trademark as basis for the bottle design. The handmade lacquer glass bottle depicts a carved 3-D skull resembling a black diamond.
In terms of the scent itself, THE $KULL carries the same character that Plein’s house exudes. Created by master Perfumer Alberto Morillas and Plein himself, it aims to capture the larger-than-life personality of Plein. Meant to leave an “olfactory tattoo”, the fragrance comprises top notes of black pepper, cardamom, and spicy leather with bottom notes of bourbon vanilla and black amber.
“The skull– the strongest statement of living life to the fullest now appears as THE $KULL– eternity in a bottle” says Plein. “Provocative, irreverent, embodying non-conformity and free-thinking, this perfume is an exclusive bespoke art object that draws the very best from the worlds of fragrances and design. It is superlative and immoderate, it exudes perfection down to the smallest details.”
With an dark, woodsy qualities, this ultra-rich fragrance leaves a noticeable signature on the skin that’s practically addictive.
Priced at $445 USD, THE $KULL Art Edition will initially be exclusively available at Philipp Plein selected boutiques and e-commerce in Europe and United States, followed by its worldwide debut in January 2020.
