Pinterest And VMagazine Are Changing the Social Media Game

Celebrating inclusivity, creativity and the new wave of talent on the rise.

For a long time, the beauty world has fallen short in representing the global community. The images on billboards and advertisements have adhered to narrow, unrepresentative beauty ideals for decades.

And as the vanguard of online destinations in fashion, beauty and culture, VMagazine is partnering with Pinterest, to start a new and much-needed conversation about breaking barriers within the industry.

The partnership kicks off with the launch of VMagazine’s Pinterest profile, and an exclusive Pinterest-sponsored cover wrap on our November issue. Pinterest is also releasing a campaign to accompany the initiative.

The film features 10 boundary-pushing creators who not only show us a more representative future— but the creative ideas that can help us get there.

Walking you through self-captured content, the broader campaign invites creators to join Pinterest in their mission to make the beauty world see all beauty. Pinterest’s new campaign, “Make the World See All Beauty,” aims to kick start the conversation about beauty-representation where it will be pushed further.

This intentionality includes introducing new tools to the platform that allow for more diverse search results and fostering partnerships with creators of all identities. Each is encouraged to flood the platform with their authentic self.

Living up to Pinterest’s goal of making all areas of beauty—including print—more inclusive, the V Magazine collaboration places Black beauty activist Nyma Tang on the publication’s cover.
