Planet i, an individualist-driven eyewear label with big sartorial statements and unusual collections of far-out eyewear is out with the latest addition to their array of surreal-futuristic shades. Dubbed "The Platinum," the new collection serves up sleek, shield designs reminiscent of runway glam and afterparty chic.

Sexy lab goggles are sprinkled into the collection for good measure, making for a versatile accessory that can be worn at a dazzling rave, a science lab, or the Grammy’s red carpet. By words of Planet i designer Eric Steginsky, The Platinum is “an homage to music, and its power to let us express ourselves. It was crucial for me to pay tribute to this form of art that most inspires me."

Drawing from the RIAA's 'platinum' certification—an honor bestowed upon some of the music industry's biggest hitmakers—The Platinum is a frame that embodies "excellence, greatness, and distinct qualities.” Ultimately, this collection is Steginsky’s nod to "all the artists that have worn our pieces over the last year," whether it be LizzoMiley Cyrus or Princess Nokia.

The Platinum is currently available via the brand's website in four colors — Aquamarine, Red, Gold, and Smoke — at a cool $88 each.
