POC Online Therapy Sessions, Are You Taking Care of Yourself?

A few resources offering free crisis counseling for POC and information about mental health.

It is understandable to feel a cluster of emotions amidst crisis and so often, there is a stigma amongst people of color where it feels almost impossible to speak on mental health issues. Whether you are burned out or frustrated, it is crucial to practice self-care and take social media breaks often during this emotionally challenging time to preserve your mental health. But sometimes, you need to vent to understand your emotions and better cope with them. The V family has compiled a list of free virtual crisis resources for communities of color in case you need to reach out to someone. Remember, you’re not alone.

Let’s break the stigma. Stop dehumanizing people with depression and anxiety by telling them to be strong. It’s ok to not be ok. It’s ok to express your feelings. It’s ok to ask for help. We are human. #blacklivesmatter
