In a new capsule collection, Polo Ralph Lauren and Element Skateboards marry two very noteworthy specialties, fashion and skateboarding, while honoring the gathering of a community, and the magnificence of the outdoors. Taking design inspiration from the Ralph Lauren brand’s iconic Fall 1982 womenswear collection, the collection is a continued exploration of the American prairie look. A reimagined hand-knit sampler sweater featuring a schoolhouse and the silhouette of a skater is included in the collection.

Fueled with nostalgia and the beauty of our land, the collection incorporates iconic Ralph Lauren silhouettes combined with utilitarian details, celebrating skateboarding and the outdoors. Seeped in earth tones and made with improved production practices, knits are created with organic cotton and vegetable dyes, with denim constructed from recycled cotton.

The product range for the collection includes a denim jacket, plaid shirt, chino pants, polo shirt, fleece sweatshirts and pants, printed tees, caps, and hard goods, including wheels, and five different skate decks made from 100% North American maple hardwood and are built using Element’s seven-ply construction. Knits are made with organic cotton and vegetable dyes, with denim constructed from recycled cotton. The collection uniquely combines the heart of both brands, with detailed embroidery and skater culture at the forefront.

To give back to the skate community while celebrating the partnership, both brands hosted a skate camp in Mt. Hood, Oregon for five days in early June featuring a selected group of thirteen young skaters from around the world. Joined by Element pro skaters Donny Barley, Gabriel Fortunato, Jaako Ojanen, Vitória Mendonça, Rafaela Costa, Kukka Suvioja, and Brandon Westgate, the campaign was shot on location at Mt. Hood National Forest, with a home base od Seek Skate Camp. A short documentary film about the camp was released alongside the launch of the collection. 

The collection will be available for purchase both online and at Ralph Lauren flagship stores, select Element retail locations, and skate shops.
