Poppy Drops Christmas Single “I Won’t Be Home For Christmas”

The single is one of four tracks on her upcoming Christmas EP, dropping December 1.

The holidays are only a few weeks away, and music visionary Poppy just dropped her new single “I Won’t Be Home For Christmas” as an early gift to us all.

The post-genre American bubblegum artist is releasing A Very Poppy Christmas on December 1, a four-track EP via Sumerian Records.

The EP will be the most recent installment in Poppy’s more than impressive music catalogue, standing as yet another creative and unexpected pivot in the industry following her recent lo-fi, intimate record I Disagree.

Known for her somewhat mysterious bubblegum persona and hushed, melancholic vocals, Poppy has had a whirlwind of accomplishments this year. Her genre-defying album I Disagree dropped in January, a fluctuation weaving between pop, progressive, electronic and metal music that produced sold-out shows coast to coast and a viral cover of the song “All The Things She Said.”

Poppy’s ambitious rise has made her into an artistic phenomenon, a peak of high culture, fashion and music with over half a billion views on YouTube and a recent feature in Vanity Fair, chronicling her evolution and metamorphosis to Poppy 2.0.
