Starting this December, Prada will publicly exhibit the history of the brand through the new exhibition “Pradasphere II”.
Tracing the house’s origins from 1913 up to the present day, “Pradasphere II” unveils this narrative through a collection of rich, intimate stories by co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simmons. Curating the exhibit with more than 500 artifacts, both physical and digital, the artifacts will be drawn from the fashion archive, as well as decades-long engagements across art, architecture, culture, and sport. Building on the success of the first “Pradasphere” exhibition in 2014, the latest installment will follow the iconic brand through its groundbreaking trajectory and impact in luxury, beauty, and fashion.
The exhibition plans on being an in-depth experience of astonishing variety. It depicts Prada through accumulation, close looking, and hospitality, while diverse elements reveal the themes and ideas close to Prada: deep craft and skill making, challenging notions of luxury, and the manifolding of aesthetic contradictions of the heart of the brand. Through 110 years of history, the exhibition grants unparalleled and firsthand access to the brand and its ever-present nature.
“Pradasphere” is free and open to the public, beginning from December 7, 2023 to January 21, 2024.
