Prada Opens Prada Galleria Immersion

Directed by Miuccia Prada, the project takes place in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan
Prada Galleria, first an iconic and timeless handbag, is now an immersive presentation in Milan, the birthplace of Prada. The handbag takes a structured shape, made from Saffiano leather and bearing the brand’s signature triangle. It’s a practical piece, with functionality being an important value in much of Miuccia Prada’s work. The Pradasphere is further expanded through an immersive space taking the same name as Prada Galleria. In the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the space spans eight floors of retail, art, and history. It expands the identity of Prada, allowing for an open dialogue between the historical influences and future aspirations of the brand.

In the original Fratelli Prada space stands the Prada Donna store. Inside are women’s collections alongside home and beauty lines. Among these, visitors can find historical and archival items from the brand. Next is Prada Uomo, which is connected to Donna via an underground passage known as the Passaggio Segreto. Marchesi 1824, a famous Milanese pastry shop, sits right above the Uomo store. It serves as a gathering place for the community and further celebrates the Italian heritage of the brand.

Above this is the Pradasphere, a permanent exhibition that traces the history of Prada. Beyond this is the Studio, reserved for shopping appointments and private events. The pinnacle of the installation is Osservatorio Fondazione Prada, a gallery that examines the intersections between culture and technology. It offers a view of the Galleria’s beautiful glass dome from the highest point of the iconic structure.
The entire exhibit is a recognition of the brand’s development since its conception in 1913. It represents years of artistry, design, community, and celebration. The exhibit offers guests a deeper understanding of Prada and its time
