Prada is teaming up with National Geographic CreativeWorks for the third time to celebrate its 2025 Re-Nylon Collection. This ongoing partnership delves into the origins of Prada’s groundbreaking Re-Nylon initiative through four stunning documentary films. Featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Sadie Sink, SEA BEYOND ambassadors Valentina Gottlieb and Giovanni Chimienti, and local National Geographic experts, the series showcases Prada’s commitment to sustainability.
Since 2019, Prada has spearheaded the SEA BEYOND program with UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission to raise awareness about ocean preservation. At the heart of this effort is Prada Re-Nylon—a line regenerated from plastic waste retrieved from oceans and landfills—symbolizing the brand’s dedication to crafting without depleting new resources. A portion of proceeds from the Re-Nylon for SEA BEYOND collection directly supports this initiative, inspiring future generations to value and protect marine ecosystems.
The latest episodes take Cumberbatch to Norway and Sink to Mexico, immersing viewers in the beauty and fragility of marine environments. From exploring hidden underwater ecosystems to addressing threats to these habitats, the films reveal how communities can create lasting positive change.
Through this collaboration, Prada reinforces its mission: to champion ocean literacy and advocate for preservation.
