It's hard to envision classic nylon as a fantastical facet of fashion, but Prada is making it just that. The French house has unveiled the Nylon Farm, a film project that depicts a self-proclaimed "futuristic fairytale" centered around the origins of Prada and their trademark Nylon fabric. The endeavor, which consists of four chapters to be released over the span of next week, sees the farm act as a backdrop for a sci-fi love story of sorts, grounding the fantastical synthetic setting with true emotions and people. The farm is populated with flocks of cyborg 'nylon sheep', a nod to Philip K. Dick and a dedication to the genre of science fiction, but the fashion remains at the forefront at all times, with their iconic Nylon pieces making refined appearances throughout.

"Inspired by the trademark fabric of Prada, and weaving an entire world from the concepts embedded in its fibres, the Nylon Farm showcases one of the fundamentals that established Prada’s modern fashion identity," the brand explained in a statement. "These films showcase Prada’s nylon as central to the storyline—but more than the physical fashion items themselves, this series represents the Prada brand’s ideological approach encapsulated through Prada nylon."

The first episode is available to watch now on Prada's website and social channels, with the three remaining chapters to be released at different intervals throughout June. Get a sneak peek at the ambitious project below.
