At the 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) in Nice, SEA BEYOND revealed a new partnership with Coral Gardeners, a non-profit focused on coral reef restoration. Through this collaboration, Coral Gardeners will be able to expand their science-driven restoration initiatives across French Polynesia, Fiji, Thailand, and other regions—equipping local communities with cutting-edge technologies to support their work.

In addition to supporting Coral Gardeners’ hands-on restoration work—growing climate-resilient coral fragments in underwater nurseries and replanting them in degraded reefs, with over 160,000 corals restored since 2017—SEA BEYOND will also collaborate with the organization to raise global awareness and inspire the next generation of ocean stewards.
Likewise, as part of this shared mission, the partnership will provide new educational resources for the upcoming fourth edition of the SEA BEYOND curriculum, developed for secondary schools around the world and set to launch in September.

Central to their impact is CG Labs, the organization’s R&D hub, which employs AI-powered image analysis, underwater cameras, and a coral monitoring app to gather vital data on reef health and biodiversity. This data-driven approach strengthens global conservation strategies and informs future restoration.
Together, SEA BEYOND and Coral Gardeners aim to surpass 200,000 corals in nurseries and plant 50,000 new corals by the end of 2026. The collaboration also includes exploratory expeditions in the Mediterranean with marine biologist and SEA BEYOND Goodwill Ambassador Giovanni Chimienti.

Beyond science, the partnership places strong emphasis on education. The next SEA BEYOND module, which will be launching this September in secondary schools worldwide, will feature Coral Gardeners’ work, inspiring young ocean advocates.
“We are delighted to support Coral Gardeners,” said Lorenzo Bertelli, Prada Group’s Head of CSR. Founder Titouan Bernicot added, “Together, we’re scaling restoration, empowering youth, and setting new standards for purposeful conservation.”
