Silent luxury, stealth wealth, old money aesthetic ー call it what you like, Proenza Schouler no longer wants it. For its Spring-Summer 2025 collection, the New York-based label is eschewing a restrained etiquette for the freethinking exaggerations of radical fashion.
The campaign, photographed by Tim Elkaïm and styled by Charlotte Collet, ups the ante on patterns and textures, spotlighting asymmetrical cut and flowing silhouettes made of bi-stretch viscose. Stripes dominate the collection, while pops of cobalt blue and fuchsia betray a minimalist palette of seasons past.
Pleated dresses are rendered ethereal, and contrasting elements ー stripes and large panels, frayed fringe and technical knits ー are cleverly harmonized to create a cohesive array of luxury ready-to-wear. Hand-shredded organza skirts and unconventional slits lend the collection an edgier vibe, while accessories such as the Tate Tote and Silo bag anchor the line with an essentially versatile twist. As for the shoes…let’s just say, if pointy-toed pumps could kill, these slingbacks would do the job.
The SS25 collection is available online at proenzaschouler.com and is coming soon to the new Proenza Schouler flagship store at 153 Mercer Street New York, NY.
