PUMA x Palomo Spain Surf Into the Sunset with Latest Collaboration

The collaboration marks the second collaboration between Palomo Spain and PUMA

Head to the beach with PUMA and Palomo Spain! In the pair’s second collaborative release, classic surf culture of the ’60s, ’70s and eventually, the early 2000s is given a refreshing renewal through free-spirited, genderless pieces. Hailed as an expression of freedom and a rejection of conformity throughout the decades, surf culture has long been a marker of laidback living.

“We wanted to get into a world we had never explored before,” explained Alejandro Gómez Palomo, creative director of Palomo Spain. “A surfing theme was perfect for summer.” The brand’s founder also cited the Y2K surfer boy aesthetic that swept Spain during his teenagehood as inspiration for the line.

For PUMA, surf culture had never been explored stylistically, but after seeing Palomo Spain’s gentle, couture-inspired vision – the design possibilities were endless. “It just made so much sense,” said PUMA’s Apparel Global Creative Director, Nils Moersch.

The gender-neutral capsule offers five ready-to-wear styles, drawing upon soft pink lavender, aqua green, and blue pastel tones to round out the color palette. Printed cotton tees and hoodies meet lightweight moiré cargos and fluid long-sleeve tops that simulate surfing rash guards. Talk about versatility!

The Slipstream sneaker is imagined into two different editions: a bicolor leather and suede combo and a pink mule with chunky strap detailing. Accessories emphasize long days spent at the beach with a reversible bucket hat and colorfully printed crossbody.

Shot on the hued beaches of Lanzarote, the PUMA x Palomo Spain campaign offers sparks of surfing and summer romance, while emphasizing the almost out-of-body nature of a proper vacation.

The collection will retail on PUMA.com, the PUMA mobile app, and the PUMA NYC flagship, as well as on palomospain.com and select retailers worldwide. Pieces will retail from $45 to $225.
