Queen Ariana Is Now the Most Followed Woman on Insta

Let’s take a moment to look back on some of our favorite @arianagrande insta moments.

2019 has shown itself to be a year of broken records for Ariana Grande. With Thank U, Next still number one on the charts, Grande is coming for Taylor Swift’s crown, and just today she snatched that of another pop queen. Toppling Selena Gomez’s long-held perch, Grande is now the most followed woman on Instagram, clocking in at 146 million followers.

This news follows an even more earth-shaking feat: becoming the first artist to simultaneously hold the top three spots on the Billboard charts since The Beatles. With “7 Rings” at number one, “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” at number two, and “Thank U, Next” still slaying at number three, Grande did what no one had since 1964.

While soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo’s 155 million followers make him Instagram’s most followed overall, we’re counting on the Arianators to mobilize—especially with her highly anticipated “Sweetener/Thank U, Next” tour kicking off March 18 in Albany, New York.

Of course, it was the fans, and our unhealthy Instagram addictions, that got Grande her latest honorific, so V decided to reflect on some of Grande’s most-liked posts.

We’re still thinking about this subtle Grammys clap-back. Grande didn’t attend the awards show this year due to a disagreement with a Grammy’s producer, but she she still snagged ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ for Sweetener, and got to show off her Zac Posen dress to millions.

Here’s bb Ariana belting ‘The Reason’ by Celine Dion. Brb, dying of cuteness.

Her tribute to Mac Miller broke our hearts, but we can’t stop going back to remember that, even though she’s probably the biggest star in the world right now, she’s human just like all of us. Love U, Ari.
