Paw-ssibly the cutest runway of the season—Rachel Antonoff and Susan Alexandria take puppies to the catwalk for their new collaborative “Best in Show” pagent. The two female-owned brands teamed up this week, showcasing eclectic ensembles including funky patterned sets, intricate beaded accessories, and an adorable pack of shelter dogs. Yes, it’s a dog show, and yes, it’s a runway.

Down the teal-carpeted runway, lined by audacious canine motifs and grandious bouquets, walked a curated cast of models, actors, musicians, comedians, and dancers—Paloma Sandoval, Claud, Edie Falco, Dylan O’Brien, and Ali Stroker—each accompanied by a furry friend provided by Animal Haven (currently up for adoption!). As if the cast couldn’t get better, the event was hosted by two exceedingly funny comedians, Kate Berlant and Jacqueline Novak, with actress and comedian Bridget Everett on judging duties.

However, this isn’t the duo’s first rodeo. The two designers first hosted a dog fashion show during 2024’s New York Fashion Week season—so memorable they HAD to make a sequel.

Saturated beaded leashes proved to be Susan Alexandra’s accessories of the season; meanwhile, flamboyant, show-stopping prints remain a hallmark of Rachel Antonoff’s. It was a maximilist’s dream. Bags were adorned with plush puppy keychains, pagent ribbons were fashioned as hair clips, and patterns were all encompassing—houndstooth, stripes, polkadot, even postcard patchwork. A bunny knit cardigan was accessorized with a beaded bunny handbag, beaded drop earrings, and a playfully kitsch beaded and rhinestoned leash, juxtaposing the smallest dog you’ve ever seen on the lead’s end.

So, who won? Though placements were awarded, the true victors were the audience. Guests, including Christopher Abbott, Anna Sophia Robb, Tommy Dorfman, and Ella Emhoff, looked on in awe and delight from the sidelines—some front seats even taken by pups, lucky plus ones to their owners.
