Only 100 days remain until the start to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and for the sixth time, Polo Ralph Lauren has been tasked as the official outfitter for the US team.

In typical Polo Ralph Lauren fashion, the closing ceremony uniform combines “traditional artisanal design references with modern fabrications in a patriotic spirit of red, white, and blue,” according to a recent press release. The uniforms were unveiled on a “Today” show segment, featuring athletes Gus Kenworthy, Jamie Anderson, Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani.

The look is retro inspired, with a white puffer jacket worn over a vintage-ski-inspired red, white and blue-striped sweater and paired with navy fleece, track pant trousers with a red side stripe. The athletes are wearing brown suede mountaineering boots blue wool hats and gloves with a stitched intarsia snowflake pattern. The water-repellent jackets are emblazoned with the signature “Team USA” and American flag logos, a classic RL touch. We do not know what Olympians will be wearing yet for the opening ceremony, but if this uniform is any indication, we can expect something preppy, bold and very patriotic.

Pieces from the Ralph Lauren Team USA collection will be available to us non-Olympians at select Ralph Lauren and Polo Ralph Lauren retail stores as well as on teamusashop.com and ralphlauren.com.
