Ray-Ban Envisions the Future With New Prescription Lens Service

The new “See Beyond the Sun” campaign captures the visions of three modern change-makers through new custom-made lenses.

Ray-Ban eyewear is the vision for visionaries—from Malcom X to James Dean, the visions and ideas of creatives have shaped their times and influenced generations beyond them. Now, when times are more uncertain than ever, the vision of the future has never been more important.

Ray-Ban’s new “See Beyond the Sun” campaign encapsulates authentic vision, projecting clear-cut imagery through icons of the decade. The made-to-match prescription lens service, Ray-Ban Authentic, puts advanced and customized lens technology into iconic frames because clarity and comfort should never be sacrificed for a stylish fit.

The new campaign captures the visions of three talented spirits—Aurora Anthony, Gabrielle Richardson and Tia Jonsson—who see beyond the world in front of them, reshaping and redefining expectations and labels. They see the future they want, and they build it; they challenge the present moment, and they change it.

Aurora Anthony is the future of NYC. The Lower East Side-based creative embodies the multi-hyphenate vision, producing art in the form of graffiti, fashion, rap and design (his label 100 Wolves is Beyonce-approved). Auroria is a visionary because he is daring, he is a risk taker and he is a world-changer, breaking the boundaries of his own horizons.

Model, artist and curator for positivity Gabrielle Richardson joins the “See Beyond the Sun” campaign to use her platform to bring good change into the picture. As the founder of Art Hoe Collective, the online platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of artists of color, and The Brown Girl Butterfly Project, a community of Black and brown women and non-binary folks, Gabrielle’s vision is one of community and change. Her art speaks to imagination, and the future she builds is one she wants to see perfectly framed: a powerful, strong community of dreamers.

Tia Jonsson’s vision is self-recognition and self-love. The model has worked with Rihanna on the debut Savage x Fenty campaign and is known not only for her vitiligo-induced streak of white hair, but personal style and winning personality, too. Tia imagines a future where what you love about yourself is worn as a badge of pride, boldly and loudly.

Since 1937, Ray-Ban has been worn by the future’s visionaries, and continue to be worn by tomorrow’s tastemakers and change-makers who project their focus through Ray-Ban lenses. They dare to see beyond the world laid out for them and craft a better future with their laser-focused vision.
