Ray-Ban Studio x Patrick Mason Presents New Collab
Be one of the 100 to wear the exclusive, handmade sunglasses.
Building off Ray-Ban Studios’ authentic connection to music and pursuit of individualism, the creative hub for self-expression sought out one of the world’s most diligent and artistic minds to collaborate.
Launched today, under the guise of influential DJ Patrick Mason, 100 handmade pieces have been created; his infinite energy on full display.
Starting with the reinvention of the loved State Street model pulled from the archives, Patrick drew inspiration from the oblivion and creation of the universe.
The exclusive design incorporates these opposing forces — obsidian black upper and amber lower effect frames are fused together with a UV-sensitive element between.
The lightly mirrored photochromatic lenses turn from clear to gray. While the legendary gold Ray-Ban logo sits atop the cutting-edge; a symbol of tradition and authenticity.
Shot at the Luxottica factory in Agordo, Italy, the Berlin-based artist exaggerates the features of a chic oversized chain which can be situated at the temples and held by magnetic balls.
The campaign imagery showcases Mason’s underground rawness and sensitivity. The innovative egg-shaped packaging, which houses the exclusive design, includes a hand-signed card by Mason himself.
Taking individuality to the next level, this pair of frames blurs the line between style and art. Available at Dover Street Market, Ray-Ban.com, and Ray-Ban flagship stores for $516 starting March 23rd.
