In honor of Salvatore Ferragamo’s glittering legacy as the original shoemaker to the stars, the Pre-Fall 2025 collection steps into the golden age of Hollywood. Drawing from the allure of vintage cinema, the house channels the era when Ferragamo outfitted silver screen icons like Joan Crawford and Judy Garland, and left his mark on everything from Cecil B. DeMille’s Westerns to Marilyn Monroe’s iconic comedies.

Under the visionary direction of Maximilian Davis, Ferragamo reimagines Hollywood glamour through a distinctly Italian perspective, enlisting acclaimed filmmaker Alice Rohrwacher to help bring the story to life. The result is a captivating three-part film, shot on location at the legendary Cinecittà Studios in Rome—a site steeped in cinematic history. Each chapter unfurls like a reel of modern mythology, weaving together wit and mystery to conjure a mood that’s both intimately behind-the-scenes and strikingly stylized. With its fusion of golden-age nostalgia and contemporary finesse, the series offers a fresh lens on filmic tradition—where vintage Hollywood allure meets the quiet sophistication of Italian artistry.

The latest chapter, L’Avventura (Italian for the adventure), features the ambiance of a warm summer alongside some much-needed cork-heeled sandals with raffia trim—perfect for a beach getaway and strolling around with your lover. The video zooms out to show the illusion of cinema, unveiling scraps of fabric to present the illusion of rolling waves.

Just like any good old Hollywood movie, it makes you wonder if it was all a dream. “Salvatore’s ideas of using the materials around you to innovate is so interesting to me,” explains Davis. “This scene is all about innovation and craft and so using that to create the very setting of the scene felt perfect.” Watch the campaign video below.
