Rebirth in Oscar De La Renta’s Pre-Spring Collection

Rebirth, nature and spring combine to launch this new collection.

Oscar De La Renta launches their Pre-Spring 2021 collection promising a perfect balance of change and consistency in a world consumed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The new wardrobe reflects the shades of spring and sits at the intersection of classic Oscar De La Renta elegance and a refreshing playful spirit. Oscar De La Renta executes these feelings of rebirth and spring by incorporating saturated shades printed on dresses, shirts and hats covered in tweeds and florals.

“One of the constants of nature is the promise of rebirth in the spring,”  Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, creative directors at Oscar De La Renta, said in a statement. “This joyful sense of anticipation and optimism is the inspiration behind the Pre-Spring 2021 collection, rich with fresh-from-the-garden hues that express and define Oscar de la Renta.”

The Pre-Spring 21 Lookbook features 29 different styles from long dresses, one-pieces and bucket hats. Colorful fruits and flowers are incorporated into most of the pieces in the spring collection. On some dresses, the printed flowers not only work their way up the dress but bloom off the dresses’ shoulder straps.

Red, white and gray are used in multiple looks and make special appearances on plaid and striped items. The use of these colors is also used in more subtle ways outside the flamboyant flowers seen on other dresses. Red takes over on one head piece, waist strap and three gowns that all gently incorporate floral mentions.

“It is a collection that reflects a brightness of spirit and a belief that, no matter what, beauty surrounds us,” Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia said.
