The Recording Academy started the MusiCares COVID-19 relief fund to support artists and others in the music industry world who are without work and facing an uncertain future. Benefiting MusiCares is the Recording Academy’s Sessions livestream series, where four artists perform and engage in thought-provoking conversations every Wednesday.

This Wednesday, the second episode will see goth-pop artist Allie X, the prodigious and multi-talented Cavetown, self-empowering pop artist Empress Of, actor and NYC art scene sensation Kat Cunning, and Salt Cathedral, the duo creating electronic dance music with international flavor. Streaming will take place via Twitch with radio host and DJ Hannah Rad hosting the show.

Starting at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET/9 PM GT, the Sessions episode will feature a “Donate Here” button so viewers can contribute to supporting those in the music industry who need it most right now. With the donations, MusiCares will offer confidential preventive, recovery, and emergency programs to address financial, medical, and personal health issues. Spotify has announced that it will also match all donations made during the Sessions episodes.
