As the first award show of the new year, the Golden Globes certainly set the style bar high for ceremonies to follow. The celebrity-studded carpet saw a ton of color this season, which was a noticeable contrast from last year’s. Stealing the show was Lady Gaga’s lavender Valentino number, featuring a train so long it swept the carpet with each of the star’s strides. Others worth mention are Janelle Monáe in Chanel and Jamie Lee Curtis who defies age so effortlessly each year, but this year in particular with a high thigh slit.
