Reebok and Maison Margiela Debut Footwear Collaboration
The houses of Reebok and Maison Margiela have created the perfect statement shoe for the new age of the cyber revolution.
Reebok and French luxury fashion house Maison Margiela have debuted a shoe collaboration, straight from the Paris Couture runways. Fusing iconic styles from each brand, Reebok’s legendary Instapump Fury sneaker, and the Maison Margiela Tabi silhouette become one in this unique blend of both the house’s heritage.
The collaboration between the two houses combines Creative Director of Margiela John Galliano’s fascination with the new digital age and the technological inventions used at Reebok, creating a harmonious connection. Inflation technology is the key innovative element to the shoes, morphing Margiela’s Tabi toe with Reebok’s inflating pump mechanism, created for the user to manually adjust the fit of shoes. Uniting Margiela’s signature Tabi from 1988 and Reebok’s Instapump Fury from 1994, the collection includes six colorways ranging from black, red, blue, yellow and white colorways, which echo’s Reebok’s OG colorways.
