Once one of the biggest brands in the game, Reebok has returned to basketball with its new model: Engine A. The brand’s first technical basketball sneaker since the early 2010s, Reebok’s Engine A is reigniting its commitment to basketball with a pair of performance kicks and the launch of its basketball roster: TEAM RBK.B.

Todd Krinsky, Reebok’s CEO who got his start in the sneaker brand’s mailroom over 30 years ago, says of the new line: “The launch of the Reebok Engine A is a monumental moment for the brand as we reclaim our stance on the court and within basketball culture. The Engine A embodies all that Reebok stands for: top performance innovation, fearless risk-taking design and a continued commitment to deliver the best product possible to the athletes who are changing the game.”

The new performance basketball shoe aims to reignite Reebok’s position in the world of hoops with a true court-ready sneaker. The kicks feature an Exoskeleton Upper, Nitrogen infused SuperFloat in the heel, and a High-Abrasion Rubber Outsole. The new addition to Reebok’s line also boasts Energy Return System technology, inspired by the sportswear brand’s ‘90s Mobius line.

The Engine E’s global marketing campaign will be led by Reebok’s growing basketball roster: Team RBK.B. Comprised of a range of professional, college and high school players, RBK.B aims to emphasize young athletes as they make their name in the sport. Current team members include the NBA’s Matas Buzelis, WNBA icons Angel Reese and Lexie Brown, 5-star high school phenom Nate Ament and rising basketball star Dink Pate. Reebok will add more names to the growing roster in the coming weeks.

The Reebok Engine A is available for sale globally now on Reebok.com.
