Rhuigi Villaseñor and Arizona Coyotes Go for Goal with New Collaboration
The designer and NHL team are coming together to launch a hockey e-commerce platform rooted in streetwear culture.

In an exciting fusion of streetwear fashion, fan culture and hockey enthusiasts, the Arizona Coyotes have announced Coyoteshop.com – a collaboration between the NHL team and Fanatics. Part of the NHLShop.com One Store program, the e-commerce site will offer consumers behind-the-scenes information on the designs, access to exclusive merchandise, and, of course, new product drops. While available worldwide, Coyoteshop.com is uniquely Arizonan, deeply rooted in the vibrant culture that surrounds the team.
Chief Brand Officer of the Arizona Coyotes Alex Meruelo Jr. spoke to the collaboration’s impact on the team brand.
“Arizona has a diverse culture deeply rooted in sports, fashion, and style, and with Coyotesshop.com and through this partnership with Fanatics, we can make our Desert Collection designed by Rhuigi available to fans globally,” explained Meruelo Jr. “This collection blends Arizona’s unique cultural elements with a street flair through the lens of the sport of hockey that is part of our plan to continue to innovate the Coyotes’ brand…”
The new shop’s full line of pieces were developed by creative strategist and global fashion designer Rhuigi Villaseñor. From the Coyotes’ Desert Night third jersey to the complete Desert Collection containing hats, hoodies, t-shirts, and more, there’s surely something for every Arizona hockey fan.
“To me, it feels like a part of the world that lives beyond just the game and enters the world of classic, iconic streetwear. It’s not just a brand, it’s a lifestyle brand in my eyes,” said Villaseñor.
As part of NHLShop.com, the Coyotes e-commerce store is operated by Fanatics, and plans to carry seasonal lines, limited edition drops and future collaborations with other designers and brands.
