Aiming to be the ultimate airport-style icon? RIMOWA X Rick Owens Original Cabin Bronze is your ticket to turning heads. Each of the 500 limited-edition models is a unique masterpiece, crafted through a meticulous aluminum anodization process and precision manual pigment application. In the design process, Owens was inspired by bronze sculptures of artists such as Richard Serra, Giacometti, and Constantine Brancusi, giving the suitcase an extra artistic edge.
The suitcase was teased at the Rick Owens FW25 show in Paris, and like the carefully crafted garments on the runway, it’s unlike any other item we’ve seen. RIMOWA’s CEO Hugues Bonnet-Masimbert praised Owens’ work “Rick Owens brings an unapologetic edge to everything he touches. His fearless approach inspired a collaboration that challenges convention at every step.”
Owens’ partner, Michèle Lamy, is the face of the campaign for the bronze-like sculpture suitcase.
Apart from its sculpture-like exterior, what’s special about this suitcase? Rick Owens crafted the baggage tags from calfskin and coarse hair. Each suitcase is carefully leather-lined to feel like a black leather glove. The leather is fully sourced by Owens himself. Engineered for seamless, edgy travel, every detail is meticulously refined.
RIMOWA X Rick Owens Original Cabin Bronze is where art, fashion, and travel converge to create a functional masterpiece. The collaboration will be available at select RIMOWA and Rick Owens stores and their website starting January 30, retailing for $3,525.
