Rihanna Confirms Her New Fenty Skin Collection is Inclusive of All Genders

The singer will partner with A$AP Rocky, Lil Nas X, and more for the campaign.

No, this is not a long-awaited R9 album announcement – but it may be just as exciting. After launching an Instagram account for Fenty Skin last week, Rihanna announced on Sunday that her new skincare venture will be for both men and women.

“Whoever told you skincare has a gender, LIED to you!” the singer replied to a fan, who tweeted about the skincare line being inclusive to men.

Ahead of its release date on July 31, the campaign features rappers A$AP Rocky and Lil Nas X photographed alongside the Grammy Award winner turned entrepreneur in a golden-hour setting. As if we weren’t already locked in with just photographs alone, she also released a one-minute promo video with the tagline “The New Culture of Skincare” that shows her fellow musicians and a group of models looking golden, dewy, and radiant.

On an Instagram photo with A$AP Rocky, Rih captioned: “That’s right baby…@fentyskin is for my fellas too! No matter who you are, you deserve to have great skin!”

Discussing why she wanted to move into the skincare world with her Fenty Beauty brand, the singer said on Twitter, “I’ve been working on @fentyskin for over 2 years, perfecting formulas and creating packaging that is kind to our planet!! Formulas that work, and work well with makeup!!!”

“Everything starts with the foundation that is your skin and we all know how obsessed I am with beautiful, healthy skin- so whether you want to wear makeup, or no makeup at all, there’s always glowing skin underneath,” she added.

Rihanna launched her eponymous cosmetic line, Fenty Beauty, in 2017 that features iconic foundations and highlighters created with all skin colors in mind, celebrating diversity in an industry that lacks representation in their products. The line includes 40 foundation shades and 10 highlighter tones.

Since the brand’s initiation, RiRi has expanded Fenty Beauty to include luxury fashion with LVHM and a lingerie line titled Savage x Fenty.

The collection drops on July 31 but if you’re impatient (like me), you can get your hands on these products as soon as July 29 if you sign up for the waitlist.
