After long week of catwalks, the NYFW hustle has come to a close. And thanks to Rihanna it’s ended on a charitable note. On Friday the bad-girl-turned business-mogul threw her fifth Diamond Ball gala, a star-studded soiree that saw the industry’s top ballers sashay on RiRi’s purple carpet.

But it didn’t end with extravagant getups (including bridal-princess-inspired haute on Cardi B, Shanina Shaik and Normani). To ensure attendees would be in a giving mood, the Fenty maven tapped Pharrell, A$AP Ferg, and newcomer Megan Thee Stallion to deliver high-energy performances. Joining forces with the Clara Lionel Foundation, this year’s Diamond Ball raised funds benefiting natural-disaster recovery. But the main attraction was none other than the hostess herself. Donning a Givenchy 2019 couture gown, Rihanna served old Hollywood glamour with a modern edge: visible boning on the gown’s structural train.
