Rihanna Trolls Impatient Fans Who Want New Music

Rihanna takes to Instagram to troll fans who are pressuring her to release new music.

Although Rihanna was just named on the Forbes highest-earning celebs list, she may have written a check she couldn’t cash. In a series of interviews and Instagram post earlier this year, the bad-girl-turned-business-mogul shared that she was working on new music and it would be released sometime this year.

As 2019 dwindles down, Rihanna has only blessed us with Fenty Beauty drops, sultry lingerie, and most recently, an eponymous LVMH-backed RTW brand. But there’s still no album in sight. Fans have now grown increasingly impatient, anticipating the album release. In true Rihanna fashion, last night she set the record straight with a hilarious meme.

The 31-year-old pop-star sent Instagram into a tizzy, trolling her fans with a witty caption accompanied by an operatic scene from the drama-ridden reality show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. In the video a crying cast member reads the results of a lie detector test prompting a brawl to break out. Rihanna’s caption pokes fun at seemingly dramatic die-hard fans who have called her out over the past few months for not delivering new music. Some have even gone as far as to say the 31-year-old pop-star is lying about releasing new music, but in Fenty’s defense, the year hasn’t ended just yet.

Finding the silver lining in Rihanna’s sarcasm, we can only hope she delivers on her promise for a new album. With no official release date on the calendar we will resort to counting the hours, days, and months while streaming her previous hits.
