Roksanda SS22 Is a Vibrant, Expressive Affair to Remember

Dancers bring to life the dramatic hues and willowing shapes.

In an expressive and vibrant affair—taking place at the equally unique Serpentine Galleries—London based designer Roksanda debuted a truly artistic collection. Modern dancers rather than models donned the willowy, voluminous shapes and abstract prints, in a production that brought the clothes to life. Following the thoughtful film featuring Vanessa Redgrave for Autumn/Winter 2021, Roksanda continues to embrace the power of performance art in an enticing display for London Fashion Week.

Paired with choreographer Holly Blakey’s dramatic and thoughtful movements were an array of magnificent hues, from spirited pinks, yellows, and greens to softer neutrals in brown and beige.

The Roksanda Spring/Summer 2022 show makes for a contemporary discourse of the modern dresser, valuing comfort in the flowing forms and celebrating self expression with artful prints and detailing. Both sleeveless gowns in neon green and long sleeve dresses in deep purple, juxtaposed with artful knit sweaters and patched suits, support the notion of fluidity in shape and color.

These clothes embrace movement in the everyday, whether that means going to a fabulous party or to the office. In an eclectic display of the current moment, Roksanda reminds us to appreciate joy and optimism, and to get moving.
