Rosalía Drops Music Video for “Hentai”

The Spanish singer drops the latest single from her new album “Motomami.”

After breaking TikTok with a preview of the song, Rosalía drops the music video for “Hentai”. Serving as the fourth single from her upcoming album, Motomami, “Hentai” is a very sultry tune. The Spanish singer shared a clip of the song on TikTok, singing the lyrics “I want to ride you like my bike/Make me a tape, Spike mode/I beat it until it was whipped/Second is f—king you, first is God.” This caused a battle on the comments section as some fans loved the lyrics, and others were not too keen.

Directed by Mitch Ryan, the music video shares sexual innuendos that fit right in with the message of the song. Rosalía is seen riding a mechanical bull, rolling around in a white bed, and posing is suggestive ways as she sings the lyrics to her song. Although the lyrics are very explicit, the song itself has a completely different sound. Rosalía sings this sexual song as though it’s a soothing love song. It contrasts the vulgar lyrics, and creates an interesting dynamic between sound and meaning.

Prior to “Hentai”, she released three tracks from Motomami: “Chicken Teriyaki,” “SAOKO” and “La Fama” featuring The Weeknd. Each track houses a different message and sound, but the singer is set on embracing change with her new album. To hear more songs like “Hentai”, check out Motomami when it comes out on March 18.
