Saint Laurent Collaborates With K-Way For Another Limited Edition Release

A new, reimagined version of their first iconic collaboration.

Riding along the California sunset with a glossy leather jacket and combat boots is the epitome of Saint Laurent’s newest Rive Droite “The Ride” collection. It fuses fashion with the motorcycle and sports industries for a collection filled with metallic skateboards, low-rise jeans and leather accessories. In honor of this imaginative collection, Saint Laurent has once again collaborated with fellow French fashion house, K-Way, for a limited edition bomber jacket.

Saint Laurent first collaborated with K-Way back in August to develop a unique and exclusive windbreaker for Saint Laurent’s previous Rive Droite collection. The drawstring jacket, containing an all-over tropical “VHS sunset” print, was a combination of Saint Laurent’s sophisticated style and K-Way’s sporty aestheticmuch like their newest collaboration. Like many of K-Way’s jackets, this windbreaker was meant to be durable, practical and be able to withstand most weather conditions.

Conceptualized by creative director Anthony Vaccarello, Rive Droite is meant to be a “creative and cultural destination” that finds its inspiration from various design and diverse avenues. More importantly, the label is a way to “enlarge the universe and the DNA of Saint Laurent’’ through creating exclusive, genderless pieces. The name itself is a nod to the rive gauche line from the ‘60s.

For their second collaboration, both fashion houses are reinterpreting the iconic jacket with a unique bomber. Unlike the retro vibe from their first collab, this jacket is adorned with “a tiger print and graphic touch” that exudes athleisure. The tiger print details are delicately placed all over the sleeves, back and chest, while the K-Way x Saint Laurent logo is shyly placed at the front. Additionally, the bomber is unisex, and is made of waterproof and windproof ripstop fabric. Other features include its thermo inner seams that “ensure optimal insulation against the elements.’’

Both Saint Laurent’s new Rive Droite collection, and their collaboration with K-Way, is currently available on their website. Customers can also find the bomber in Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores in Paris and Los Angeles.
