“Saint Laurent – Charlotte Perriand” brings four of Perriand’s unseen maquettes into physical form for the first time. Each—originally made between 1943 and 1967—has been reproduced by the iconic French house in limited quantities.

This unveiling marks a significant moment in the legacy of Perriand, a pioneering French architect and designer who was widely celebrated for her collaborations with Le Corbusier and her preference for natural materials.

From a never-before-seen full-scale realization of the Table Mille-Feuilles, to pieces created for Perriand’s own residences and diplomatic interiors (Fauteuil Visiteur Indochine, Bibliothèque Rio de Janeiro, and Canapé de la Résidence de l’Ambassadeur du Japon)—the collection invites visitors into a private, previously untouchable archive.

The project reflects a deeper continuation of YSL’s long-held admiration and respect for Perriand, given that he collected her work throughout his life; Pierre Bergé supported the exhibitions of her designs globally. Curated by Vaccarello, this new chapter continues the maison’s legacy of honoring her designs.

Open to the public from April 8–13 at Padiglione Visconti in Milan, the exhibition is accompanied by a printed catalogue and a special volume of Perriand’s photography, available at the Saint Laurent Editions kiosk at Piazza San Babila. Parallel exhibitions will also run in Paris, at Saint Laurent Babylone and Rive Droite.
