Salomon and Atmos Collaborate on “Stars-Collide” Sneaker

The beloved XT-6 model is getting a refresh in a collaboration with Tokyo-based sneaker store atmos

Over the past year, Salomon hiking sneakers have quickly and quietly become the new “it” shoe, becoming the latest silhouette to gain adoration within the dad sneaker family. Comfortable and effortless, the silhouette has been spotted on some of the biggest names in fashion – just look at Bella Hadid, Hailey Beiber and Emily Ratajkowski’s street style shots. Now, the favorite XT-6 model is getting a refresh in a collaboration with Tokyo-based sneaker store atmos.

The new model – called the XT-6 “Stars Collide” – is, as the name suggests, reflective of the concept of “celestial collision”, depicting and representing the moment in which stardust is scattered across the universe. Featuring atmos’ heritage star pattern, metallic silver accents and dark, dusky blue hues, the $200 model conjures images of nighttime hikes, clear night skies, and exploration – a perfect mingling of the concept of outdoor movement central to Salomon and the embracing of urban fashion culture central to atmos.

“This being the first collaboration with Salomon we are more than excited for the release,” shared atmos Global Creative Director Kojima “Koji” Hirofume. “The design concept was created using Salomon’s backbone, night mountain trail runs. The idea of stargazing and star-filled nights spent outside was the inspiration of the design.”

Opening in Harajuku, Tokyo in 2000, atmos has become a world-renowned shop focused on expressing Tokyo’s sneaker culture and connecting the world of fashion and sneakers. In celebration of the release, the Shinjuku store will be holding a special pop-up for customers to experience the model’s concept and view the sneaker before its release. The pop-up will be available from April 3rd to April 9th. In addition, an online exclusive raffle and details will be launched ahead of the sneaker’s release on April 8th.
