For his most recent appearance, Sam turned up the gospel influences and embraced the near sacredness of the show, complete with church choir and his yearningly smooth vocals on full throttle.

Sam gave one of his new tracks from The Thrill of It All, "Burning," a unique spotlight by performing it live from a historic round chapel in London, elevating a deep cut into an intimate and spiritual performance on multiple levels.

Who better to hop on Sam's biggest hits than one of the queens of soul herself, Mary J. Blige? Upon his successful debut, the legendary artist joined Sam both at the Grammys and in the studio, adding an additional surge of emotion to the now-classic solemn breakup anthem.

Performing at the BRIT Awards is often considered a major peak for British artists, and Sam made the best of his first shining moment at the show. Surrounded by a full string orchestra with angelic vibes, he did nothing but sing his heart out on In the Lonely Hour single "Lay Me Down," making everyone watching feel goosebumps.

In an unexpected yet delightful move, Sam teamed up with frequent collaborators Disclosure at Radio 1's Live Lounge and dished out a cover of Drake's "Hotline Bling." It sounds cheesy in theory, but as usual, the duo's bouncy synths and his smooth falsetto prove to be a winning match even on the most random of song choices.
