If you’ve been on the hunt for the coolest new boot, look no further. Today, Timberland launched its latest style – a reimagined take on its iconic boot in partnership with A-COLD-WALL* and its founder Samuel Ross. This collaboration comes as the second drop of the Future73 project, which calls on global future makers to redesign their iconic boots in celebration of the brand’s 50th anniversary.

In addition to the original Timberland boot, the Timberland x Samuel Ross Future73 collection reimagines the 3-Eye Lug Handsewn Boat Shoe and a range of archival apparel designs, for which Ross immersed himself in the brand’s archives to reappropriate never-before-seen pieces with his own signature touch. The collection includes a parka, cargo shorts, a vest, and a crewneck, all of which are inspired by Ross’s own design ethos and expertise in elevated streetwear. As a result of Ross’s own experiences growing up in Northampton, a town with a rich cobbling history, a specific reverence for craftsmanship and a dedication to the potential for function and ergonomics can be seen in his designs for Timberland.

Using this same approach, the iconic Timberland boot is given a sleek refresh with a focus on clean, minimal lines, a zip closure and neutral color way, all of which allows for the focus of the shoe to be its structural integrity and design. Timberland’s 3-Eye Lug Handsewn Boat Shoe is approached with the same intent, focusing on Timberland’s boot making expertise and premium leather.

“My earliest memories of Timberland go back some 20 years – to when I was a child traveling around the Caribbean, where my family is from, and seeing the brand’s influence on the culture,” shared Ross. “In places like Barbados and Saint Vincent there is a deep respect for heritage and ensuring the sanctity of craftsmanship. The opportunity to work on a project surrounding the anniversary of the 6-Inch boot  immediately pulled a heartstring.” 

The collection will be released in two drops, one in May and one in August. The collection ranges from $220 – $900 and will be available May 12 at *A-COLD-WALL and May 16 at timberland.com,  Timberland® stores, and select retailers worldwide.
