Savage X Fenty Announces First-Ever Collaboration with Adam Selman

Rihanna’s lingerie line meets its first designer collaborator.

While Rihanna still might not be ready to release the long-awaited R9 to the world, she is announcing her latest addition to her Savage X Fenty line: a collaborative Valentine’s Day capsule collection with long-time designer friend Adam Selman.

The brand’s first-ever collaboration, this upcoming collection will arrive in two parts: “Locket Down” and “Down the Aisle”. The former takes inspiration from the ‘80s, boasting grand silhouettes featuring ruffles and bows, while the latter certainly appeals to all the Bad Gals with a riot girl aesthetic.

“I couldn’t imagine anyone other than Adam [Selman] for Savage X Fenty’s first designer collaboration,” Rihanna said in a statement. “Adam is everything the brand stands for – fun, playful, sexy.”

The news comes after an extremely pivotal year for the lingerie brand. After commanding an audience of fashion’s elite with a special show during New York Fashion Week in September and announcing Normani as the brand’s first ambassador in November, Savage X Fenty’s powerful momentum is unmatched with the announcement of this limited-edition 19-piece capsule collection.

In regards to the collaboration, Selman expressed sentiments of excitement, saying, “Lingerie is something I’ve always wanted to design. So many of my collections have been influenced and inspired by lingerie detailing and fabrics, so I jumped at the chance when Rihanna approached me to collaborate with Savage X Fenty. Creating sexy pieces that empower and make you feel confident is at the core of everything I do, that is something Rihanna and I have always connected over.”
