Sawyer Hill Announces Debut Album ‘Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy’

The 11-track collection arrives August 21
Singer-songwriter Sawyer Hill has announced his debut album, Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy, set for release on August 21. The 11-track collection is now available to pre-order and pre-save through AWAL Recordings. To mark the announcement, Hill has released the album’s lead single, “Tyin’ the Noose,” along with its accompanying video.
Since the original album announcement, Hill has also released “Alibi” as the latest preview of Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy, accompanied by an official music video. The single follows “Tyin’ the Noose” and offers another glimpse of the album ahead of its August 21 release.
Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy finds Hill working through religion, relationships, the pull of home, and a broader disillusionment he’s observed among young Americans. The album took shape after years on the road took Hill away from his home state of Arkansas for the first time.
The record was made in Los Angeles with collaborators including Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys), Chris Greatti (Poppy, Yungblud), and Ryan Linville (Olivia Rodrigo, Dermot Kennedy). Billed as Hill’s most personal work to date, it continues his blend of blues, Americana, and alternative rock.
Hill’s previous releases include “Look at the Time,” which reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Viral 50 chart. He followed that with his 2025 debut EP, Heartbreak Hysteria, featuring “High on My Lows” and a studio recording of “Folsom Prison Blues” — his take on fellow Arkansan Johnny Cash’s classic, and a longtime highlight of his live show.
Sawyer Hill recently supported Yungblud on the North American leg of his Idols: The World Tour, and has headlined extensively across North America and Europe. Later this year, he’ll perform at major U.S. festivals including Outside Lands and Bourbon & Beyond. A world tour in support of Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy is expected to follow.
The album is currently available for pre-orders and pre-saves here. Hill plays Outside Lands on August 7, then heads out on a full U.S. tour this fall.
