From high school romances to making it into the popular crowd, Mindy Kailing’s Never Have I Ever has been a Netflix hit since it first aired. Fans of the show have been waiting to see what lies ahead for Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and Paxton (Darren Barnet) since Season 2 came to a close. The wait is almost over as Season 3 makes its Netflix debut on August 12.

The official trailer for the new season dropped today, and a love triangle may be in Devi’s future. As she finally cements her relationship with school heartthrob Paxton, Devi must now prepare for the life of a popular girl. With her friends by her side, Devi finally becomes one of the girls she started the series wanting to be. With a hot new boyfriend, what could go wrong?

As the trailer continues, it’s obvious that the rest of the school isn’t as on board with her newfound romance. Since the rest of the school seems confused about their relationship, Devi begins to feed into the doubt. After blowing up on Paxton, and mentioning Olivia Rodrigo’s album Sour, we’re sure these two lovebirds have trouble on the horizon.

The trailer ends with Devi meeting her friends at a party. She complains she had to bring one of her mom’s friend’s “loser kids” with her. Expecting a dork, Devi and her friends are shocked when a tall, attractive Indian guy shows up instead. Who is this mystery man, and what does it mean for Devi and Paxton’s relationship?
